Katz, Benjamin
Son of-Pnina and Elimelech was born on December 17, 1917, in Boroshov, Transylvania, shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War. In 1939, Benjamin immigrated to Palestine on an illegal immigrant ship and joined a group that initially began training in Mishmar Zevulun. Ein Dor, where the members of the nucleus were in training, were forced to work for their livelihood throughout the country in all sorts of jobs and especially in the building, Benjamin was very devoted to military training and guided the other members of the nucleus, On May 18, 1948, Benjamin fell in his duties during an aerial bombardment. He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion. He left behind a wife, a daughter and a son. On the anniversary of the fall, Kibbutz Ein Dor published a memorial booklet containing lines for his character and eulogy.
