Katz, Amnon

Son of Menachem and Hannah. He was born on May 5, 1940, in Ma’aleh Hahamisha, and completed his studies at the Har-Yehuda Regional School, and was a member of the Hapoel youth brigade in Jerusalem. In 1958 he was drafted into the IDF and reached the rank of lieutenant. On the 27th of Tevet 5722 (27.12.1961), he fell in the line of duty and was laid to rest in the civil cemetery in Ma’ale Hahamisha. The gymnasium at the Har-Yehuda school, where Amnon studied, was dedicated to his memory and named after him.
