Katish, Fares
Son of Anisa and Ali. Fares was born in the village of Julis on July 1, 1932. He completed elementary school and then worked in various kinds of work. At the age of eighteen he enlisted in the IDF, served in the Druze unit and reached the rank of sergeant 2. In 1955, he enlisted in the career army and continued to serve as a fighter, and Fares’s family told him that he loved his friends very much, Fares was the epitome of good citizenship, and on 5 October 1985, Sergeant Fares, a fifty-three-year-old, fell to his death and was buried in a cemetery in the village of Julis, leaving behind a widow and nine children.
