Katiev, Daniel

Son of Raisa and Samcho. Born on the 11th of Adar, March 6, 1982 in the city of Chirchik. The family immigrated to Israel in 1990. On October 19, 2000, Daniel enlisted in the military reserves. In 2004, Daniel was assigned to serve in the Jordan Valley Brigade as an assistant brigade logistics officer. In 2005, Daniel moved to the Fire Brigade and to the “Pelican” unit, where he served as a unit logistics officer. Danny fell in his home in an unfortunate accident and was rushed to Beilinson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Daniel fell while carrying out his duties on the 15th of Iyar, May 18, 2011. He was twenty-nine years. He was laid to rest in the Segula military cemetery in Petah Tikva. Survived by a wife, son and daughter, parents, two brothers and a sister.
