Kaspri, Yehoram

Yehoram, son of Edith and Hans Kaspri, was born in 1923 in East Prussia. In the spring of 1939, he immigrated to Israel as part of the Youth Aliya. In December 1947, at the outbreak of the War of Independence, he was appointed as a battalion medic in the Carmeli Brigade. He went out to help the many wounded, but as a battalion medic he had to remain in the headquarters. On the 25th of Iyar (3.6.1948), he was hit in an attack while bandaging a wounded soldier. Yehoram died from his wounds and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
