Karsenty, Boaz

Son of Chana and Eliyahu. He was born in Kiryat Ata on 30 May 1963. He studied at the Sprinzak Elementary School in Kiryat Ata, and after completing his studies, he studied in vocational schools. He joined the IDF. He went through basic training and was sent to a clerk’s course. In the summer of 1982 he went on vacation. He used his vacation to work as a tractor driver. On July 14, 1982, while driving a tractor, he turned into a ditch and was critically wounded. For two weeks he fought for his life and on the 12th of Av (August 1, 1982) died of his wounds. He was 19 years old. Boaz was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa. He left behind his parents, three brothers and three sisters. The family commemorated his name in a book he published in his memory.
