Karni, Yehuda


Son of-Eliezer and Rene. Born on December 27, 1922 in Budapest, capital of Hungary, he completed his studies in elementary and high school and immigrated to Israel in 1941. He belonged to Hanoar Hazioni and was a member of Moshav Ein-Iron and worked there He served in the British army and was also a driver there, and was a member of the Haganah. He was drafted into the IDF in June 1948 and reached the rank of lieutenant on the 6th of Kislev 5717 (6.11.1956). He was buried in the cemetery in Eilat and on the 28th of Shevat 5718 (29.1.1958) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
