Kaplan, Moshe (“Moni”)
Son of Yitzhak and Chaya. He was born on May 2, 1952, in Zichron Ya’akov, as a member of a family of land workers from the Zichron Yaakov settlement, who completed his studies at the “Nili” elementary school in Zichron Yaakov, continued for one year at Hadasim “He graduated from high school in Pardes Hanna, and from an early age, Moshe was gifted with art talents, playing leading roles in all the school performances and having a rare sense of beauty and aesthetics. He never liked the fixed frames and always wanted to break through and acquire much more on his own, so he devoted so much time and effort to reading, thinking and living He had a great way of reading scientific books and literature, and his great hobby was photography, where he found the way to express his love for beauty and nature. Moshe was a good athlete, loved to swim, to travel on foot, and to run far away, and his friends could not forget his great love for the correct Hebrew language: Moshe joined the IDF in early December 1971. Like many of the youth, Serving, and with a natural inclination to meet new people and forms of life, joined the nucleus Nachal of the Scouts and did Shalat in Kibbutz Gonen in the Upper Galilee. He liked the way of life in the kibbutz, but Moshe did not manage to serve for a short period of time. On the 11th of Tevet 5736 (January 6, 1972), he fell while serving and was brought to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Zichron Yaakov. His comrades-in-law in Kibbutz Gonen published a pamphlet in his memory; The family established a scholarship fund in his name, and the fruits of the foundation are distributed annually through the Committee for the Soldier in Zichron Yaakov.
