Kaplan, Baruch

Son of Ziskind HaKohen and Rebecca. He was born on April 11, 1945 in Ness Ziona. Where he graduated from elementary school, studied in Rehovot for one year in high school and then moved to the vocational school “Basmat” in Haifa and became a technician. His hobby was the chess game. In August 1964, he was drafted into the IDF and completed an officers’ course and a sabotage course on December 28, 1965, when he fell in the line of duty. On the same day, he was granted the rank of second lieutenant. Was brought to rest in the cemetery in Nes Ziona. The Rotary Club in Nes Tziona established a scholarship fund in his name for needy and outstanding students. The fund was raised by the club’s factories and the contributions of its members and its dividends are distributed in a special ceremony on the day Baruch fell among the students recommended by the school principals before the committee.
