Kanfer, Zvi (Ernesto)


Son of Avraham and Nechama. Born on the 18th of Adar 2, 1938 in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. While he was there, he joined the Hashomer Hatzair movement and when he arrived with his family in 1955 he came to Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk. For a year he studied at the Naaman educational institution in the village, loved music, played the accordion and did various handicrafts. Was closed inside himself, and even his pages of diaries in Spanish – as if a secret hand had written them so that his thoughts would remain with him. He joined the IDF in November 1956 as part of the Nahal Brigade and fulfilled all his duties with loyalty and devotion. He was able to give his students the confidence and confidence in their ability to take root in this new reality – a good soldier and an outstanding commander – and at the same time a loyal friend of both his commanders and his soldiers – his subordinates died in his illness on the 11th of Nissan, (April 1, 1958) and was brought to rest in the civil cemetery in Kfar Masaryk, the internal newsletter of the kibbutz, from 14 Nissan 5718, was devoted mostly to Zvi.
