Kandel, Yisrael-Shai

Yisrael-Shai, son of Osnat and Yaron Yosef Chai Kandel, was born in Jerusalem on the 23rd of Cheshvan 5749 (November 3, 1988). In October 2014, Yisrael Shai was recruited to the Israel Police. He served in the Moriah district, and in time advanced to the rank of sergeant. Yisrael Shai married Sarit Daughter of El and they lived in Jerusalem. Yisrael Shai fell in the line of duty on 4 May 2016. He was twenty-seven when he fell. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl, Jerusalem. Survived by a wife, parents and sister.
