Kalman, Shai

Shai, son of Edna and Jerry Kalman, was born in Kfar Hanasi in 1970. At the beginning of February 1989, Shai was drafted into compulsory military service. He began his service in the Air Force in an aviation course, and at one point he moved to the Artillery Corps, where he took a course for the commanders of a cannon crew. On May 16, 1990 Shai was killed while performing his duties in a road accident that occurred on his way to an officer’s examination. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Arad cemetery. Survived by his parents, and two brothers – Dor and Tal. He was nineteen when he died. Shai was promoted to sergeant after his death.
