Kalman, Lola


During the Second World War, she enlisted in the British Army and was assigned to the Women’s Corps. She served in Egypt and on December 24, 1942, she was killed in a car accident. She was laid to rest at the British military cemetery in Tel el-Kabir, Egypt. Her memory was immortalized in “The Volunteer Book,” in the “Book of the Year of the Journalists” and in the Yizkor Book of the Jabotinsky Institute.
