He was a studious student who was interested mainly in handicrafts and was fond of his friends and teachers, who nicknamed him Mano. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement and for years was active in it. He was always sociable, liked to joke, and helped as much as he could. From his youth, he was a sports fan, excelled at the handball game and played as a goalkeeper in the Hapoel team in his hometown. He was quick and impatient, he was impulsive and wanted to do everything with his own hands and at a fast pace, running, as if he was afraid of losing a moment or losing something.
