Son of Rami (Avraham) and Amalia. Born in Kfar Yehoshua on April 9, 1949, his parents named him after their good friend, Yair Israeli, who fell in the War of Independence, and loved his flora and fauna. The parents of all the working animals, and at the age of three moved with his parents to Beit Lehem Haglilit, where the parents set up their own farm and attended the Alon Chalil elementary school in the moshav. In the garden, he loved every tree and tree in the corner of the garden, cultivated them, protected them, and did not allow the uprooting of any branch that would take root in the farmyard. He studied the professional literature, had connections with the goat growers’ organization, which he treated before he went to school, sucked them and milked them, and his favorite hobby was the Mustang horse, He was a member of the “HaNoar HaOved VeHalomed” movement of the Moshavim movement and took part in all activities within the framework of the school and the movement (Trips, camps, parties, etc.). Yes a lot of reading, especially of literature. He did not find much interest in high school. After three years he left and went to study at the Air Force Technical School in Haifa. He was not easily adapted to the military order and to the boys’ society, which differed from that of his village. But he received everything in good spirits and graduated with honors from the technical school. He was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early 1968 and volunteered for the air force as a ground crew member, and excelled in his position and fulfilled all his responsibilities, but he refused to go to the officers’ course and sign a permanent army service. Yair appealed to him to continue serving for another year in the army, but Yair hesitated: he understood security needs because he specialized in his profession and held very responsible positions, but he knew that his parents expected him to return to work in the agricultural farm. To parents in their hard work in the agriculture, while maintaining the principle of self-employment, instead of benefiting from it The parents, the brother, the sister, and the children of the neighbors who liked to have fun with them, told them stories and explained to them that they had been able to continue their studies when they returned home.
