Kadouri, Ephraim

Son of Ya’akov and Ahuva. He was born on April 16, 1938 in Tel Aviv. After studying at the “Talmud Torah” of the “Mizrachi” in Jerusalem, he studied at the “Mizrachi” Teachers’ Seminary and later visited the Hebrew Gymnasium in Rehavia in the real direction in which he studied. During every period of freedom he would work with his sweat so he could pay his tuition and make it easier for his parents. After graduating from high school in Rehavia, he decided to enter the Hebrew Technion in Haifa, but as a loyal son of his people he went first to fulfill his duty of service in the army; He joined the paratroopers. When he enlisted in October 1957, he told his mother: “If not me and not him, then what will happen?” – a sentence in which he expressed his loyalty and devotion. He fell in the line of duty on the 17th of Marcheshvan 1958 (10.11.1957) and was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. His memory was mentioned in Uri Milstein’s book, “The Paratroop Wars.”
