Kadosh, Rivka
Daughter of Masuda and Aharon Ohana, she was born in Safed in 1916. At the age of 15 she married Moshe Kadosh and they had six children. During the War of Independence, Rivka, who was a member of Hagana, volunteered to cook for the reinforcements of Palmach members who lived in besieged Safed and lived in Beit Bosel. On 29 Nisan, May 8, 1948, on her way home from Beit Bosel, which was exposed to sniper fire and shelling, a shell fell next to Rivka. She was killed and her husband Moshe, who accompanied her, was wounded. She was brought to rest in Safed, the city of her birth.
