Kachta, Zechariah

Son of Yosef and Rumi. He was born in 1925 in Yemen and immigrated to Israel in 1949. He was an agricultural laborer and was drafted into the IDF in 1950. On Wednesday, 19 November 1955, he fell in battle with infiltrators while fulfilling his duties and was brought to eternal rest. In the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem he left a wife and two children, the second child was born six months after they fell and was named after his father
