Juri, Abraham


Son of Yitzhak (Zaki) and Mazal. He was born in Cairo, Egypt, on July 30, 1944. He immigrated to Israel as a child, together with his family, in 1949. He completed his studies at the Remez Elementary School in Holon and later attended school The Ort vocational school in Jaffa, was a metalworker by profession, was drafted into the IDF in October 1962 as part of the Nahal Brigade, and stayed in Yad Hannah, and fell in the battle of Yad Hannah on the 3rd of Tevet 5765 (December 8, 1964) Who bled on the battlefield after being shot by the Jordanians. Avraham, nicknamed “Juri,” was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Members of Kibbutz Yad Hannah set up a monument in his memory. In addition, one year was given to him as a classmate in the elementary school in which Avraham studied in Holon.
