Joseph Kleimker (Yossi)


Son of Zipora and David, was born on August 16, 1928 in Haifa, where he graduated from the Bialik Gymnasium and later joined the Palmach. He has stayed at various points, such as Givot Zaid, Ashdot Yaakov, Ramat David, Givat Haim and recently in the “Hasolelim” group of the Young Maccabee in Raanana. In all these points he was active and in charge of cultural activities. He filled positions with enthusiasm and devotion. Was loved by his friends. He aspired to settle in the kibbutz and devote himself to agricultural work. In his spare time he liked to listen to classical music. On the 29th of Adar I 5708 (March 10, 1948), he arrived in Haifa in armored vehicles and in a clash with the enemy fell. He was buried in the Haifa military cemetery. The “Hasolelim” group published a booklet in his memory.
