Jerby, Yosef (Ludan)
Born in 1932 in the city of Tripoli, Libya. Yosef succeeded in immigrating to Israel in 1947, and when he arrived in Israel, he immediately enlisted and trained in the Yona camp. In one of the battles Yosef was mortally wounded, and was transferred to the hospital in Tel Litvinsky, “If I still live and have sons, I will make them heroes to fight for the homeland.” Yosef died of his wounds on the 8th of Cheshvan 5709 (10.11.1948) and was laid to rest in the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery. He was 16 when he died.
