Jasper, Mordechai

Son of Moshe and Tzipora. He was born on Friday, 18.5.1945, in Kfar Hess when he completed his studies at the elementary school in Tel Mond, and after graduating from the Ruppin High School in Emek Hefer for three years, In the twelfth grade of a high school in Tel Aviv. He belonged to Hanoar Haoved and as an outstanding athlete he was active in HaPoel, especially in the basketball game. In August 1963 he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and served in the Israel Air Force until he reached the rank of lieutenant, on the 27th of Adar 5727 (March 7, 1967) he fell while serving in the Civil Cemetery in Tel Mond, Which was built by the village, was dedicated to his memory and bears his name: Friends planted a grove in his memory and in his name in Modi’in, in a section devoted to pilots who fell while carrying out their duties.
