Jacoby, David


Son of Yaakov was born in 1924 in Lutsk, Poland. Was one of the survivors who survived the horrors of the Holocaust. In 1944, at age 19, he immigrated to Israel. He had a high school education and worked as a clerk in a diamond factory in Netanya. David joined the Lehi underground and was known as the Ariav, and during the War of Independence he was one of the convoys to Jerusalem and the occupiers of the Negev, and David fought in the ranks of the 8th Brigade and fell during Operation Horev to remove the Egyptian army from Israel. On the morning of the 27th of Tammuz 5707 (20.7.1949), he was transferred to the eternal military cemetery at Nachalat Yitzhak .
