Jacobovitch, Jacob

Son of Leopold (Arie) and Fried (Tamar). He was born in Krakow, Poland, on February 15, 1932. He began high school education while still abroad and completed his studies in Israel in 1947, after his parents perished in the concentration camps. He moved to Italy, where he joined “Youth Aliya”, and after completing his training, he was in Kfar Saba and then in Kfar Ruppin. When he completed his regular service he joined the permanent army. On the 24th of Iyar 5714 (27.5.1954) he fell in the line of duty and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
