Jacob, Rachamim


Son of Naim and Lulu. He was born on May 11, 1960 in Be’er Sheva. He studied at Achva Elementary School and later studied the electricity industry. Rahamim loved his work, which was integrated into his studies, and satisfied his superiors with his knowledge of the profession, his loyalty and his aspiration to succeed. In his spare time he spent a lot of time with friends and knew how to enjoy every moment of his life. His hobby was driving, but because of his youth he had to make do with riding a bicycle with an auxiliary motor. At the beginning of May 1978, Rahamim was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and assigned to the Artillery Corps on 18 June 1978, the 18th of Sivan 5738 he fell during his service. Survived by his parents, brothers and sisters. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving behind his parents, brothers and sisters. Condolences to the bereaved family His commanding officer wrote: “Rachamim of blessed memory served in our unit and was a dedicated and loyal soldier, and he fulfilled all his duty with full readiness and recognition.” His parents donated a Torah scroll with a holster to the Ohel Yosef synagogue in Be’er Sheva.
