Jacob David (“Ehud”)
Son of Jacob and Miriam. He was born on the 26th of Elul 5713 (6.9.1953) in Moshav Ein Yaakov near Nahariya. He studied at the Yahalom Elementary School in Maalot and completed his studies at the electronics department of the vocational high school in Kfar Citrin near Haifa, as a trainee in pre-military training. He was a member of the youth movement of the Moshavim movement and even went on a tour of England and France. He was active in the Gadna, played soccer for the Hapoel Ein Yaakov team and took part in competitions held by the Ma’ale Yosef Regional Council, where his hobby was photography and because he liked to travel, he merged his two hobbies, which produced many pictures that commemorate the beauties of the country and its splendor. David was drafted into the IDF in early November 1971. At first he served as a communications systems technician, but later volunteered to serve in the Golani Brigade and was a member of the IDF. In its ranks until the day of his death. On the 16th of Shvat 573 (16.1.1973), he died during his service and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Nahariya. His commander wrote in a letter of condolence to the family: “Many of his comrades in the unit admired him and praised him for his courage and willingness to perform every task in the best possible way. Both good and useful “
