Jabarek, Elchanan
Son of Sheindel and David. He was born on 29.3.1923 in Constantinople, Turkey, to an old Zionist family. In 1925 he immigrated with his family to Eretz Israel and attended elementary school and the Tel Aviv High School for Commercial Studies. During the Second World War he enlisted in the British Army, was assigned to the Navy and served as a technician. Elchanan was talented and industrious. On 26 Av, 27 August 1943, he died of an illness at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem and was brought to eternal rest in the Mount of Olives cemetery. Survived by his parents and brother.
