Ivgy, Shalom

Son of Rachel and David. Born in Morocco on the 30th of Sivan, July 1, 1954. He immigrated to Israel in 1963 with his family, and settled in Moshav Avivim on the Lebanese border. He joined the Border Police on April 1, 1975, serving in the Border Police and the IDF for a total of thirty-seven years. He was a leader of the army, and prayed with all his might to contribute to the state and the security of the Yishuv. Advanced Sergeant Shalom fell on the 7th of Elul, August 27, 2009. He was buried in the cemetery in Miron, and was survived by a wife, four sons, and a sister.
