Itzhaki, Aharon (Roni)

Son of Frida and Jacob, was born on the 27th of Tishrei 5729 (27.9.1961) in the Hatikva neighborhood of Tel Aviv. on and the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed youth movement. About a year before his enlistment Roni volunteered for the Civil Guard. Ronny loved life, was optimistic and energetic. He used his vacations to travel around the country with his fellow members of the movement and society, who loved them a lot. They rewarded him with their love and his house became a meeting center, and he became the uneducated leader. Roni was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in November 1979 and was stationed in a general tank as a water tanker driver and attached to an armored unit, where he served only two weeks.Roni fell during his duty on 24 January 1980 and was brought to rest at home The military cemetery in Holon. He was 18 years old when he fell. He left behind his parents, brother and sister.
