Itach, Yaakov


Son of Shimon and Hannah. He was born on January 17, 1948 in Oran, Algeria. As a baby, the family immigrated to Israel. He attended the Tachkemoni religious elementary school in Tiberias. He was a craftsman by profession in Afikim. From the age of 15 he was forced to work, to support his family – his sick parents and younger siblings, and therefore he could not continue his studies – he belonged to a youth club and was admired and admired by all his critics. In 1967, he served in the Golani Brigade and was a disciplined soldier who carried out every mission with great devotion, but a few months later the Six-Day War broke out in which he fell in the positions of the Supreme Customs House above the Bnot Yaakov Bridge on June 15, 1967, Ammunition was brought to rest in a mass grave in Nahariya military cemetery.
