Itach, Mordechai (Mordushu)

Son of Esther and Raphael, was born on February 16, 1925, in the French city of Fez, where he graduated from the elementary school and specialized in the metal-coating profession.In 1947 he immigrated to Israel as a pioneer of the family, He believed in a victory that would come and invited his family to come to the State of Israel, but when his parents came to Israel they no longer found him alive, and he fell in battle in Gezer. Gezer was Near the Ramle-Latrun road and the Legion forces in the area saw it as a threat and asked it to be taken in preparation for the approaching truce On Tuesday, (06/10/1948) enemy force got together and attacked the kibbutz. Heavy enemy fire destroyed the defensive positions and paralyzed any possibility of organized resistance. The enemy managed to break into the agriculture and conquer it. This battle took place on Tuesday, June 10, 1948, and Mordechai was brought to rest in the cemetery in Gezer.
