Isman, Moshe (“Redhead”)


Son of-Ze’ev-Yehuda and Rachel. He was born on 24 July 1927 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. From his childhood he belonged to Bnei Akiva and the Habonim, and when he grew up he was active in the Zionist movement. He also taught sports activities. He was a member of the Haganah. After graduating from high school, he studied at a teachers’ seminary. Showed a great affection for literature and wrote piyut (in the Hungarian language). He immigrated to Israel in 1949, and shortly after his arrival, in April of that year, he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and fell in the course of his duties on the 9th of Kislev 5707 (9.12.1955) in Ramot Naftali, where he lived and worked and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery He put a wife and two children in the farm.
