Isaiah, Samir


Son of Naim and Aliza. He was born on May 3, 1947 in Basra, Iraq. The family immigrated to Israel in 1951 together with him. When he reached school age, he studied at Mesilot School in Netanya and after completing elementary school, he studied until the tenth grade of the Tchernichovsky Arab High School. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. In November 1965, he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Signal Corps, but he did not complete his compulsory service, on the 15th of Nissan 5748 (April 15, 1968) he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
