Son of Miriam and Shalom, was born in 1923 in the city of Aden and immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1924. The family settled in the Sha’arayim neighborhood of Rehovot, where Yitzhak studied in the Talmud Torah. At a young age he was forced to leave school because of his parents’ poor economic situation and began to work as a laborer in the orchard. When he was 13, he joined the Hanoar Haoved movement, had an active member and continued his studies in evening classes. In 1942, he enlisted as a guard and guard in Sharona and Wilhelma. After a year of guarding, he decided to become a farmer in the moshav and went to Be’er Tuvia to undergo a thorough agricultural training there. In 1944 he joined the Palmach and went to the Negev, where he moved with his unit to Givat Hashlosha and to Kfar Yehoshua in the valley and joined a Palmach group that set out to hold on to Ramot Naftali. He spent difficult days of work with his teammates, but he, like his friends, called the place and his landscape more and was pleased with his condition.
