Iluz, Meir (Micho)

Son of Marcel and Amram. Was born on 20 February 1960 in Ashdod. Meir was stationed in the air intelligence unit, and because he showed great motivation to succeed in his position and progressed nicely within a short period of time, he was offered an officer’s course. During that period he served in a base in southern Sinai, and soon fell in love with this region and traveled a lot. On June 5, 1980, Meir fell during his service and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Ashdod. He left behind his parents, sisters and brother.
