Ilani, Yosef-Baruch


Son of Moshe and Tova. He was born on January 4, 1937, in Jerusalem. He completed his studies at the Neve Ya’akov elementary school in Jerusalem and later at the Mikveh Israel agricultural school. He belonged to the Bnei Akiva movement. He served in the Nahal Brigade during the years 1956-1957 in the “Settlers” group of his organization, and on the 22nd of Av 5717 (22.8.1957), he fell while fulfilling his duties and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.His memory was brought up in a book called “Wars of the Paratroopers” by Uri Milstein.
