Ibrahim, Mizeid


Son of Maisa and Selim. Mazid was born in the village of Sajur on July 1. 1928. As a baby his father passed away, his mother returned to her homeland Lebanon, and braided and raised by his uncles. Before he turned eighteen, he enlisted in the English Army. He was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and then enlisted in the Border Police, and he was a loyal and good soldier, as all his commanders, subordinates and brothers in arms testified to, and received letters of appreciation and medals. On September 27, 1967, the First Sergeant of Zaid ordered a Border Police force to chase a group of terrorists operating east of the Green Line in the Tulkarm area, causing casualties and property. And ordered the force to storm, and in this assault he was hit by a burst of gunfire and killed himself He was laid to rest in the Sejour cemetery, where he was awarded the police medal of honor for his work during the battle.
