Hussi, Sami
Son of Suleiman and Yasmin. He was born on September 16, 1949, in Dalit al-Carmel. He studied at the elementary school in his native village, in the municipal high school until the 10th grade, and graduated from the Akko High School. The sport was always loved by him and he wanted to be a football player. Until his last day he did much to promote this sport in his village. He excelled in geography and wanted to continue at the university, but before that he wanted to finish his army service. In his life Sami did not like praise and always preferred work. He was studying and also working on holidays. Most of his head was for help. Sammy was loved by his family for his gentleness, manners, and honesty. During his free time he would guide the family and help everyone in his studies. Sammy suffered many hardships in his life, but received suffering with love and without complaint. He was drafted into the IDF at the end of November 1969. On January 3, 1970, he died and was brought to eternal rest in Daliyat al-Carmel, a sports field in his village named after him.
