Huli, Yosef (Soso)

Huli, Yosef (Soso)

Son of Rina and Jacques. He was born in 1951. When Yosef was three, the family immigrated to Israel, where he studied at the Geulim Elementary School and the Abu Kabir High School in February 1969. In February 1969, Yosef was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Artillery Corps . He completed basic training and was sent to the Artillery School to study the gunner’s course. At the end of his training he was placed in an artillery battalion. In 1972, Yosef was discharged from the regular army and assigned to a reserve unit in the Engineering Corps. In 1973 he married his girlfriend Allegra and over the years the couple had three children. As early as the age of sixteen, Yosef stood out for his excellent ability as a Hapoel soccer player and when he turned 30 he played in the adult team and competed against teams in Gush Dan. With an angelic face and blue eyes and a wonderful sense of humor. A poetic man, who was enough to hear a song once and already remembered the melody and all the words. His family members say that during the lunch break he continued to study Torah from the neighborhood rabbi and from his evening to his home his face was illuminated by an aura that can not be described. In August 1988, Yosef was called to active reserve duty. On August 22, 1988, Yosef fell to the military cemetery in Holon and was succeeded by Raya – Allegra, three children – Rinat, Anat and Dikla, parents, three brothers – Menachem, Mordechai Moshe, and Mazal – Every year in August a football tournament was held in Bat Yam.
