Holtzman, Naama


The daughter of Nili and Yoram. She was born on May 9, 1969 in Holon. She studied at the Tabor Elementary School in Holon and completed her studies at the Holon ORT high school in the electronics and computers department. Naama was a Yaffa girl, accepted in society, full of joy of life and love for nature, environment and family. She was a member of the Scout movement and of the Egged group of wanderers, and in this framework she often went on trips and trips. Na’ama was drafted into the IDF in September 1987, and after basic training was assigned to a maintenance unit, despite being orphaned by her father five months prior to her enlistment, she served willingly and happily, and left her mark on her friends and commanders On August 19, 1988, Naama fell during her service and was brought To rest in the military cemetery in Holon. She left behind a mother and two sisters – Etti and Shimrit. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, her commander wrote: “In the short period we were privileged to stay with, we appreciated the deep roots that she absorbed in her home, which turned her into a beloved and accepted soldier of her friends and commanders who had the same roots in dealing with the disease. We are grieving and mourning her death. “
