Hollander, Moshe


Ben Rachel and Ben-Zion, was born on June 12, 1921, in the city of Koyacht, Czechoslovakia, where he completed his elementary school and continued to study in the Gymnasium until the Holocaust. He escaped to Cyprus, was interned there for six months, and on July 15, 1947, he boarded the shores of the country. In Atlit, he moved to Kiryat Shmuel and from there moved to Kfar Sava as an agricultural laborer in Pardes, where he joined the Golani Brigade during the War of Independence and joined the Golani Brigade in the battles of Horev, The Golani brigade was to create a deception in the western wing of the front before the main effort was made in the eastern wing On the night of December 22-23, 1948, the brigade captured the 86th position north of Khan Yunis, threatening the road and the railroad, The Egyptians in the Gaza Strip, the Egyptians retaliated with a fierce counter-attack with the help of artillery and armor, and under the pressure of the enemy the Golani fighters were forced to retreat, and on that day, on December 22, 1948, On the 16th of Av 5709 (August 11, 1949) he was put to rest in the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
