Hoisler, Elijah


The only son of Leah and Baruch was born on June 5, 1930 in Germany, and was educated in an institution under the supervision of Dr. Rothschild and was a good student. When he was eight years old, Nazis broke into an institution where he had studied and forced him and his friends. On the eve of the outbreak of World War II, he managed to reach Eretz Israel with his parents, who settled in Petah Tikva. Eliyahu studied at the PICA School and soon became a member of the Haganah and took part in reinforcements sent to Kibbutz Shefayim under siege by the IDF. In the course of the War of Independence, he enlisted in the Alexandroni Brigade, which was then only seventeen and a half years old, and was sent to a sniper course, and was given the combat unit to serve as a sniper. He participated in the battles for Tantura and Kakun and was fond of his friends as a friend and warrior Jenny strong counter-attack on the Tammuz Independence (12/07/1948), he died. Elijah was beating his machine-gunners with his precise snipers, leaning on a rock. A bullet hit his Lev and his friends found him dead while he was leaning against the rock. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Petah Tikva.
