Hoffman, Vered (Berta)


Daughter of Hannah and Hanoch. Vered was born in Bat Yam on the 29th of Tishrei, October 25, 1965. On December 4, 1983, Vered enlisted in the Israel Air Force, at the Tzrifin base in charge of the maintenance, development and spare parts of the various systems operated by the IDF. As part of her service, Vered studied at the Tel Aviv University, where she graduated with honors, and completed her military service in the Israel Air Force. During her service Vered advanced to the rank of major. In 2004, Vered suffered a severe illness and in the coming years, despite all the difficult treatments and surgeries she underwent, she continued to work energetically and remained very optimistic about her recovery. In the middle of 2010, Vered’s condition deteriorated, but she continued to show optimism and continued to work until her last days. Vered died on the 9th of Av, July 19, 2010, and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, Tel Aviv..
