Yitzhak (Hochla), son of Henia and Chaim, was born on February 17, 1943 in Tel Aviv. He studied at the Ma’alot religious school in Bnei Brak and continued his studies in the religious high school in that city. After one year of study, he moved to the Mikve Israel agricultural school near Holon. Yitzhak was born at a difficult time for the Jewish community in Palestine. Rumors of the approaching German paratroopers led to the imposition of a prolonged curfew, along with the Palmach’s organization, and his childhood was in a national Jewish atmosphere, his parents were members of the Irgun and the young Yitzhak received a national religious education. At home, they had deep roots that connected him to the Land of Israel with intense love, uncompromising in which his character as an Israeli and proud Jew was prepared to sacrifice the most precious to him for his homeland and his people.
