In the meantime, the situation in Israel worsened, and again he devoted himself very diligently to his activities in the Hagana service. Natan was one of the brave drivers who kept the transportation in the most turbulent days and did not shy away from the dangers of the road. On the 19th of Adar I 5708 (29.2.1948) he returned from the Krayot and near Halisa was hit by a bullet and died. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. He left behind a daughter.
