Hochberg, Yosef (Yosik)
Son of Nechama and Hanoch. He was born on November 2, 1925 in Tel Aviv. His family wandered from town to town. At first, he lived in Ramat Gan in difficult living conditions. After that, the family moved to Moshav Kfar Yehoshua in order to build a farm there, but a severe economic crisis in those days led them to move to Hadera and to the Arba’in Beit neighborhood, now Kfar Brandeis. He later served as a platoon leader in the Afikim and Ashdot Ya’akov kibbutzim, and as an intelligent young man, full of joy and life, surrounded his friends and subordinates, he sang and danced with them and accompanied the singing and dancing by playing the accordion. On 3 Elul (19.8.1947), he died in a tragic accident and was buried in the Ashdot-Yaakov cemetery.
