Hochberg, Moshe (Moses)
During the Second World War, Moshe responded to the call of the national institutions and enlisted in the British army, the supply force. When the danger of Greece falling into the hands of the Germans increased, a British expeditionary force was sent to Greece to arrest them, including Moshe’s unit. In the battles of the retreat that took place between March and April 1941, Moses was absent and his fate is unknown to this day. The monument of the missing in the cemetery in Athens is engraved with the name of Moshe Hochberg.
