Hirschler, Erez


Son of Ziva and Eliahu was born on May 10, 1928 in Tel Aviv, studied at the Nes Tziona elementary school in Tel Aviv and was a member of Hashomer Hatzair. He joined the youth movement of Hashomer Hatzair, where he trained at Kibbutz Beit Zera, and worked at his favorite work in the pasture, and trained in the Hagana as part of the Palmach “H. In early 1947 he immigrated with his friends to settle in Gush Etzion, and they founded Kibbutz Revadim. At the beginning of the War of Independence, on January 14, 1948, the Arabs carried out a heavy attack on the Etzion Bloc, a small force, packed with its men, launched a counter-attack and succeeded in surprising the attackers. In the booklet “Hanoch, Yair, Erez, Itzik, in memory of Kibbutz Revadim,” on November 17, 1949, he was laid to rest at the military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem
