Hib, Faraj

Faraj, son of Fathia and Mohammed Hib, was born in 1984 in the village of Zarzir. He enlisted in the IDF on July 29, 2002. On June 16, 2003, Faraj was transferred to the Desert Patrol Battalion, which is better known as the Bedouin Battalion. After a short period of service in the battalion, where Faraj was outstanding in his commanding skills, he was sent to the infantry officers course at the officers’ school, completed successfully, and was promoted to the rank of second lieutenant on October 28, 2004. Afterward, Faraj returned to the battalion as an officer. Captain Faraj Hib fell during his service on 8.5.2009 at the age of twenty-five.
Faraj was buried in the military section of the Al-Hib Abu Siah cemetery. In his death, he left behind parents, six sisters.
