Heyndry, Uri


Son of Tzalach and Malka. He was born on the 11th of Kislev 5767 (11.12.1955) in Tel Aviv. He completed his elementary studies in this city. After that he worked for a long time as a laborer in the knitwear factory ‘Triconor’, saving money and making a trip abroad before he enlisted in the army. At the beginning of February 1974. Uri was injured in the northern road on August 29, 1974. On the 29th of Elul 5734 (August 29, 1974), Uri was killed in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery, leaving behind his parents A sister and two brothers, wrote in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family: “During his stay in the battalion, he was proud of his new unit and was fascinated by the scenery he so loved. In addition to serving as a soldier in the battalion, Uri also served as a driver, so that during the long trips together we also had excellent personal relations. His fall was difficult for his friends and especially for me. “His parents commemorated him when his name was engraved on a marble slab in the Or Yaakov synagogue, and his parents donated sports accessories in his name to a club in the Shapira neighborhood of Tel Aviv.
